THERE will be no more gatherings held by the snake pastor at this school!
This is what the school's management, governing board and parents decided at a meeting held yesterday at Ayanda Primary School in Soshanguve extension 8, Tshwane.
Governing board members confessed to having given Pastor Penuel Mnguni permission to operate his church in the school's hall.
On Friday Daily Sun published a story about angry parents who marched to the school premises.
They wanted to know how the pastor's End Times Disciples Ministries got permission to meet at the school.
Two other churches were allegedly denied access to the school after offering to pay a small fee, but the snake pastor offered R3 000 and was accepted. The parents at the meeting demanded that whoever gave Mnguni the right to operate at the school be dismissed.
Oupa Moloto, the chairman of the governing board, said: "We had agreed with parents before that we would take any opportunity to generate funds for the school.
"We charged Mnguni R3 000 for six days and he has used three days. We refunded the balance to him."
Principal David Manopi said: "We made a big mistake. It won't happen again."
