MLUNGU Joshua Zimmerman (25) says he's bewitched and needs strong muthi to get his life back on track.
"Someone used muthi on me in 2010, and since then everything has gone wrong in my life," said Joshua, who lives in a flat in Berea, Joburg.
"I was in my second year at the University of KZN, studying for a BCom degree. I decided to campaign for a place on the student representative council. One evening a member from an opposing party invited me to a bar for a drink. I was given something that I thought was alcohol but I woke up in hospital. I was treated for six weeks before being discharged," he said.
"I was a changed man. I started cursing my parents and my mum stopped paying for my studies."
Joshua said a friend took him to a sangoma.
"He threw his bones and told me that I had been bewitched. I believe the curse has followed me to Joburg. I can't get a job although I'm intelligent. People start fighting with me over nothing. Last week a guy I don't even know hit me in the street.
"Last year I had an out-of-body experience. An evil force took control of me and pushed me. I almost jumped from my window. I'm sick all the time and doctors can't help me. I need a good sangoma or traditional healer," he said.
