Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo came out unscathed after he being involved in a car accident in Randburg, north of Johannesburg on Thursday.
The club’s official Floyd Mbele confirmed to KickOff on Friday that the 24-year-old keeper’s car was written off but he is “fine and okay.”
Mhlongo was apparently on his way to attend a sports show with SuperSport at the at their headquarters in Randburg at the time of the accident.
Mhlongo, who had just returned from a lengthy layoff with an injury, is expected to feature in the squad that will travel to Pretoria to face high-flying Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.
The match kicks off at 15h30 at Loftus Versveld Stadium.
