Former Bafana Bafana midfielder John "Shoes" Moshoeu has passed away after a long battle with cancer.

The former Kaizer Chiefs star passed away yesterday afternoon.

His agent, Glyn Binkin, confirmed his death on Twitter.

FORMER Bafana Bafana captain Neil "Mokoko" Tovey (52) is recovering well following three heart attacks and is expected to be moved from the intensive care unit of an Umhlanga hospital to a general ward by the end of the week.
