Itumeleng Khune has bid an emotional farewell to Kaizer Chiefs and the supporters, saying it was an honour to serve Amakhosi.

"It is with sadness that my time at Kaizer Chiefs has come to an end after 12 years. Chiefs has been my life, my dream since I was a small boy. Former Bafana Bafana midfielder John "Shoes" Moshoeu has passed away after a long battle with cancer.

The former Kaizer Chiefs star passed away yesterday afternoon.

His agent, Glyn Binkin, confirmed his death on Twitter.
